Blog: KDRU’s First Karaoke Night

On Friday, April 11th, KDRU Radio hosted our first ever karaoke night event at Drury. The turnout was exceptional, and people stuck around for the majority of the event and seemed to be enjoying themselves. This signals to us that we should do more of these in the future! In addition to students getting to pick their own songs to sing, they were able to do it with a microphone; we had three mics, which allowed up to three people duet! Key performances included a duet of Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey”, a sing along paired with a live harmonica on Billly Joel’s “Piano Man”, and a group sing-along of “Sweet Caroline” to close out the night. Special thanks to KDRU members for Emily Fuge and Noah Miles for putting on the event. Check out the pics below!
