After a short training period, radio students at Drury are encouraged to plan out and host their own show. From shows that spotlight video game soundtracks, to more traditional news and sports talk show programs, KDRU is home to many diverse and ever-changing programs.

Regular Programming

Sundays:

Rocks for Lunch. 11 am to 1 pm

A show that introduces listeners to old rock featuring songs from bands such as The Velvet Underground, Zombies, etc.

 

Mondays:

Democracy Now. 9 to 10 am

An hour-long news magazine covering events from around the world.

Y’allternative with Em. 12 to 1 pm

Bringing you the next from Nashville, hear new artists you may not be familiar with, as well as the stars that are changing the game in country music today by blending together influences of county, pop, and rock. Hear fun facts about the artists, entertainment news, and more.

Funky Fresh. 2 to 3 pm

A location in the sound space where one enjoys and discovers the funkiest and freshest songs around. Highlights local bands and musicians in Springfield, incorporates local band interviews on show, experimental show, underground music, and plays the genres you would most likely not hear on the radio.
